i really need to replace all of the bushings on my car, but i dont know what all to get. is there a list of all the bushings on the car? i am planning on getting bilstien sports and h&r race, or sports, anything special needed for a lower car? i have some rogue engineering rsm's on my e36, i will switch those to the e30. i searched and came up with nothing.

thanks

Front Control arm bushing
Rear Subframe bushing
Rear diff mount
Rear trailing arm bushings aka silent blocks

Other wear items:
Front Upper strut mounts
Rear shock mounts
Tie Rods
Control arms

That's it, it's a very simple suspension.

No. But if you switch them to greasable urethane it will improve your handling, feel, life, and responsivenees of the suspension. Bmp design has a set that is not too pricey.

it says here that they are the same:

i think i will just use the ones out of my e36.

get the lifetime shock mounts from bimmer world i think it is. they are like $40

for all the bushings either get stock, or go with ones from akg motorsport. The urethane will be a little stiffer and easier to install and uninstall. Dont get IE bushings they dont fit right

I've got akg poly ones, and they fit perfectly with little or no loss of ride quality.

ok, 2 more questions. should i get 70a or 75d poly? also, the offset or the regular front CAB's?

Depends if you have aftermarket suspension or not. If you do then get the offset. As for the poly the 75d is a stronger urethane but prone to squeeking. Plus check if they come greaceable. If they do then all you would need is white lithium greace to fill them with and they won't squeek.

cant i just put some white grease on there before install? is there much of a benifit using the 75d?

Number 1 is right. They basically support the full weight of the car and the suspension loads. Eventually they just wear out. You can get stock or aftermarket ones. They have OE offset ones too that offer more camber if you want it, or there are plates that attach to the top of the OE mount to give more camber at the expense of raising the ride height slightly. You have lots of options there.

FWIW, You can get stock, solid rubber, 70-80-95 poly, aluminum, some delrin/nylon, etc. You can get whatever you want to make the car handle and ride as needed.

Take a look at number 9 too. Both of mine were badly cracked.

yeah, I've noticed that! I'm swapping the control arm bushes to eccentric M3 ones, that are known for giving more caster and camber, and probably these offset top mounts would go nice with them. Problem is they are much more expensive, more than double price, compared with the standard ones.
