ok, so i got my haltech-inovate wideband wired up and i want to get it to do the "clean air" calibration. so on the instructions i'm supposed to turn it on without it plugged in and its supposed to show an E2 error. then i turn the car off and plug in the 02, and turn it back on and its supposed to count down from 10 and then do the calibration. I can't get it to display the e2 error and thus i can't get it to count down. on that note, i did get my car started yesterday on my haltech system, but i have to wait to tune it until i get the wideband working...

Is it getting power in accessory mode?

I just unplug the sensor cable, power the unit on, wait 10 seconds, power it off, plug the sensor back in, and power it on again for about a minute. No problems here.

did the guage read anything when you plugged it in and unplugged it? Its getting power because the guage is getting power from the same source and the guage is turned on. as well the 02 sensor was actually really hot when i touched it and almost burned my hand. so should i just not worry about the fact that there is no E2 error?

I don't know about the error. I never bothered looking anything up. After waiting like 10 seconds all was well and the car ran great. Trying to make sense of a single light blinking seemed like too much work if things were working fine. Now the light codes WERE nice when the sensor pooped out and my first LC-1 died.

ok, so i still can't get it to work and after going through the instructions again i'm seeing that i have no "green wire" in my harness, which is supposed to be a ground wire... i thought this was missing because i have the guage that goes with the kit and it was unneeded... now i'm thinking that they just f'd up

i thought i'd let everyone know that it was a simple plug that was missing on the "in" input for the controller to loop the circuit.

Haha oh yeah, the terminator plug. They forgot to ship one with my replacement unit. I knew it would be something simple...
