If you are racing professionally and see more than 1.0G's then it is a necessity. On a street/track car using R-compound tires, you will not even need that.
Interesting nonetheless, but I get annoyed when people try to mock-build a racecar without actually utilizing the parts for race.

yeah it be like 2 grand for a motor that does just fine without it
