Benefits of supporting M42club.com with a Premium Membership include:

One free email address _____@m42club.com
This may be setup to work like Hotmail, Yahoo, or Gmail, or it can automatically forward your email to another account of your choice (see notes on this).

Removal of some of the advertisements on M42club (the big Google one).
The very top right (coming soon) stays as that was implemented before this, is not as intrusive and is more relevant.

Custom title
This goes under your name, for an example, mine says Site Admin.
You can change it any time you want (see notes).

A logo under your name saying you support M42club.
http://www.m42club.com/forums/images/premiumclear.gif(It looks better under your name)

Access to a private forum limited to those with a premium membership.

Larger Private Message storage.
Instead of the usual 500 stored messages, you get 1000.

All of this cost you $15 per year.
That is only a little over $1 per month, who cannot afford that?

To order:
Go into your control panel (UserCP on the upper left), and on the lower left below Miscellaneous you will see "paid Subscriptions". On the drop down select the $15 option, and hit "order". And no, it is not automatically recurring. It would if there was a little star next to the dollar amount and there isn't.

PM me the email address and password you want.

Notes, restrictions, etc.
To change your title go into your control panel (UserCP on the upper left), click on edit profile. Top of the second box is where you change this.
Email and titles cannot contain anything that may interfere with board operations. Examples are admin, sheepdog, moderator, things like that. Also passwords must have letters and numbers. A caps and lowercase is even better but not required. A number is required though.
While the forum access and things should occur immediately (lets hope), the email may take a few days.
Everything is subject to change without notice and some things do carry restrictions such as titles abiding by M2club rules.
If you make a mistake and send Canadian or Australian dollars, expect to pay extra to cover the Pay Pal fees lost due to using 2 transactions instead of one, so get it right the first time.
If this is canceled, I spent a lot of effort setting this up, I have no plans to take it down. I will leave it running until your account expires and not allow you to re-enable it, but if for some odd reason I do though, I will reimburse you for what time you have left.
Basically try not to be a baby if something goes wrong, I will try to fix it.

What about those of us who shun PayPal as the Black Death it surely is?

:)

More than happy to help, but I wouldn't use PayPal if they paid me to.

Unfortunately for this, it is the easiest way. Stop dealing with shady people :p

Show me an alternative that is as widespread in use.

It is a major hassle to try and not use Pay Pal when it comes to Ebay.

I do not let them hold onto much of my money and I do not use it for anything expensive.

Paypal is good, been running my business sales through them for over a year with out a single issue.

BTW: Am I the only premium member?

Sheep,

I like the idea. Money forthcoming.

I will be using my friends paypal acct. Hey ak, I will pay yours and then pick an equivalent priced part from your inventory if you want.

I assume the address is admin@m42 ?

Just follow the how to order, it takes care of it.
Otherwise, yeah admin@m42... would work. The donations button will take you there as well, just not automatically adding the amount. It all goes to the same place.

Thanks

I like the idea, everything, except this logo under Your name...

It feels that You discriminate all people who didn't pay. And You show it very obvious.

I think that this logo under the name is not fair... Especially that You can write just anything below the name only when You pay... This is the main thing pointing that somebody supports the club! In my opinion it is not needed to underline this once more by placing a logo like this... Paying person gets enough benefits from it - the logo is a mistake.

And I agree - it looks better with the logo...
But for me it feels not fair.

You know its not real obvious how to do it. I started seeing the banners a while ago and only stumbled across the process today.

As I almost always use the "new posts" search the sticky isn't apparent unless its getting bumped.

$15 is a steal for the value of this board in access to the collective DIY advice. Thanks for your work.

I knew when I hit 500 post I was going to be a club supporter.
Great work to everyone involved.
Couldn't do much on my car without the support of this site.
Thanks
