Does anyone know what the 3 connectors on the first pic are? I have 3 on each side of the engine bay. The yellow one on the second pic just randomly fell out when I drove over a bump and the ring fell out when I took my steering wheel off.

the yellow connector is for your outside temp sensor. i need more details on where the one in the first picture is located, do you horns work?..... did the ring fall out of the steering wheel?

.....wait i know what the ring is for:rolleyes:, its the key suround for the ignition switch. i took mine out, you dont really need it is just there so there is no gap between the steering column trim piece and the ignition switch.

The connectors are right in the back of the headlights on the right side (if you're looking from inside of the car), the same ones are present on the left side too.
Oh, well, no big loss then. :D Good.

BTW, where is the outside temp sensor located?
in the left front brake cooling duct, its most likley not there otherwise it would still be plugged in......but if its still there it would be in a small hole located in the brake cooling duct.
as for the other two connectors......does anybody know what the are for? i trying to brainstrom but i dont have my car here to look to see what they are for.

...oh wait! i think its for the aux fan!....check to see if the fan works, it might be unplugged for a reason.
and the one on the far right side ofthe pic is for the washer tank....i think.

Does the Canadian model have parking/turn signal lights in the bumper? Could be hot, ground and blinker.

There is a plug like that for the window washer pump, one for the aux fan(?) and one for a sensor on the A/C.

The washer tank already has a plug to itself, I do not have A/C, and I either don't understand something, which I tend believe is the case, but the only fan I see is working perfectly fine, which is the radiator fan lol. So aux fan...?

Turn signals yes. But parking lights on the front bumper?

And the blinkers work fine too.

Then it is probably a harness belonging to the A/C.

The auxiliary fan, if you had one, would be in front of the radiator, directly behind the kidneys.
I've noticed that like many manufacturers, BMW doesn't like to make more than one wiring harness if they can help it - it's cheaper to mass produce one type than three or four types. The auxiliary fan wiring is part of the main harness from the fuse box that goes up the driver's side to the front, then across the car to the passenger headlight, then back to the AC stuff. No separate harnesses until you get to the actual components.
So, my bet would be that it is the auxiliary fan connector; you just don't have anything to plug it in to.
Then it is probably a harness belonging to the A/C.+1

The first two connector are one from the A/C compressor and the other one for the temp sensor which commands the electric fan.
