CAI question?

So it's time to replace my air filter, which as I checked was never replaced since the time the car was bought, and I was wondering what type of CAI are people running and if it's worth not just getting the square filter?

I know it must've been answered somewhere before, but I've seen so many posts about different setups and even custom airboxes, etc..

There is no CAI for the 318is. Most people will tell you it's a waste and you lose power, and that the stock box is best. The only product that works is a cone filter with a heat shield.
