Any opinions on weitec suspension kits? I'm looking at the 60/40 drop to get rid of the wheel gap but am worried that might be a little too much. Anyone know about the spring rates? Anyone else go with a 60/40 or something similar? thanks

I dont think that you will have to worry to much about the drop unless the spring rates are weak. i have about a 2in drop all around and it drives pretty well. I have heard that some people have it lowered so that the oil pan is only 3in or so off the ground (equals about a 2.5" drop in the front). if your really worried about the oil pan, there is a company that sells skid plate for about $185. the site is 666fabrication.com

Weitec is good, I have that with some coilover conversion springs,
Weitec is owned by KW if that tells you anything,.

Email me and I can get you the spring rates on a specific kit you are interested in

So how weak is too weak?

I bought a 60/40 Ultra GT set (springs and shocks) and it works quite nice in race track. However, it is too stiff for daily use at least to my opinion.

Where can people in the US buy Weitec / KW springs?
