I'm unsure which adapter to purchase to install my Grant steering wheel. The 318is has an air bag and I don't think the normal E30, until 90, will work correctly. I'm specifically looking for a Grant unit but will buy a MOMO or other if I have to.

To put on an Mtech 1/2 you just need to put in a spacer I have heard. I don't know about aftermarket wheels though.

You don't need any specific hub adapter. You can either use a non-airbag contact ring with some washer(s) or retain your airbag contact ring contact ring with washers.
You need the contact ring to still have a function turn signal return function along with a functioning horn.

Grant = 5 bolts
Momo/Sparco = 6 bolts
Just get any hub from any '84-'91 3 series and you should be good.

FWIW My Momo wheel came with a hub and it has been plug and play replacement for both air-bag and non-airbag cars with all functions retained.
