I just wanted to get opinions on how black mirrors look on brillianrot cars. Mine are quite faded and have been touched up by the previous owner; my trunk spoiler is black and I'm planning on ordering a black plate filler.
Just an example:

Looks good. I'd keep it like that...

I think it would look good myself, I love the contrast to go along with my other bits. Honestly the mirrors could be hot pink now and look better than the faded and polka dotted job going on right now. I'll look into it. Anyone care to chime in?

I like it . It blends in with the rest of the black trim .

I'm really not a fan of blacked out kidneys unless the iS lip is body color. Also I think the black baskets make the mirrors look worse, there is a such thing as too much contrast. I really like the look of chrome kidneys with nice clean baskets; in this case the mirrors would be much less pronounced.

Well, my hood will never be black, unless of course I buy a black car. BMW's dont lend well to black or carbon fiber hoods, to put it bluntly, it makes the car look trashy. The mirrors will be painted SEM black this weekend, I will post pictures.

The cheap E30 models had black mirrors and black front and rear spoilers, the expensive models had all these body coloured. Do you want your car to look like the cheap models or the expensive models?

Well, the mirrors aren't something that would offer much contrast; however, if I could paint the mirrors body color I would do it. I was really looking for an alternative to how shitty my mirrors look now. If anyone can point me to some matching body color paint I would consider that. Cheers guys.

and the two or three shades of red going on there. Black mirrors could work with the shadowline trim but you could also do an acceptable job with a spray can of factory red since the trim separates the two. You can buy reusable spray bottles at the local auto parts store and buy a can of pre-mix in the OEM color from a automotive paint store. Pre-mix is a pint that is thinned and ready to spray.

I'll look into it. If I paint it with the pre-mix and don't like it I can always just respray it SEM. Thanks for the input guys, I'll post the results this weekend sometime.
