I may start selling HID kits for a company called Kailxen. I was wondering how many of you guys would be interested in kits before I get myself into anything. Their website is http://www.kaixenkits.com/ is you want to look at them. These kits are made by them and are direct plug and play. You don't have to wire anything special to get them to work. These are quality kits and not like the cheap ebay ones. They are 200% brighter than a standard bulbs.

hey charlie... are all those cars yours?? is that girl in the booth next to the ford mrs. charlie?? :)

hey man, I might be in. I have an ebay kit but the ballast and ignitor are separate, so the wiring is a mess and it's bumming me out.

Believe it or not, I used to sell high pressure quartz lamps for a living (for reprographic, not automotive), so if you need any help with the terminology let me know.

yeah its kinda hard to decide whick car to drive to class lol.

For H1, H3, H4S (single low beam), H7, H9, H11, H13, 9003, 9004, 9005, 9006, 9007, 881 I can do $330 Shipped

For H4D (dual action) bixenon (high / low beam) kit I can do $420 shipped

I could do a GB though to lower the price a little more though. I can get 4000K, 5000K, 6000K, 6500K, & 8500K kits although I wouldn't reccomend over 6000K b/c you loose some output.

If I do a GB prices will be:
$330 <10
$315 11-20
$300 >21

All prices are shipped to the US. Shipping elsewhere will cost slightly more

Will these work for e30s?? Are they for non-ellipsoids, or just for ellips?

yeah they work w/ e30's. US ellips will need a 9006 for the lows and euro's need h1's. Obv. they won't work for sealed beams but you can use them in euro h4's

Please forgive my ignorance in this subject, but I just want to make sure I can add these to my car.

I have:
- ellipsoids w/ smilleys
- don't have a clue what bulbs I have on now, but I know one set is OSRAM

So basically, I remove the bulbs and install your kit, correct?
If its not a major PITA, I'd like to look into a set for my E30.
Thank you.
Cheers,
Chris

Chris,

You can add HIDs to your car. With your smiley's, you'll want the H1 kit.

I installed a set of McCullouch I got from an eBay seller in my smiley's last year. For your car, you may have to put the 9006 connectors back on the wires and then the ballast hooks into those. Easy.

I love my HIDs, but I prefer my 4300K Philips kit in my E36 to the 6000K McCullouch kit in the E30. 6000K is too purple and not as bright as the 4300K.

yeah just like stated you will want the h1's for smileys. and yeah I presonally would go w/ 4000k or 5000k.

H4D is still plug and play?

And is having a high/low setup a problem with lamp response? I know sometimes it takes a while for the lamp to turn on.
