So I found about a 1/8 of a teaspoon of oil in cylinder #3's spark plug. Do you guys just think its the gasket?

Whats the worst that it could be? Should I just replace the valve cover gasket and see what happens?

I just noticed this while replacing the plugs today. I'm sure the last owner drove on it like this for a few months too. Whats the worst to expect. :(

I dont know how that could be the pan gasket.

I think you are trying to say that there was oil in the cylinder head reccesed area for the spark plug. It is probably just the VC gasket. I think i have an extra one with the 4 small inner parts if you need one

Make sure the Valve cover bolts are tight, mine where loose.

mine was missing a bolt in #3. So that let a lot of oil in. Check that out.

Valve cover gasket for sure. I am having a big leaking problem as well. The rubbe gets hard as it ages, working less & less well. Replace them, Lord knows I need to.

when i got mine two were loose, a tech gave them steel sleeves, now another is loose. should i now check for some serious issues, or spark plug oil as well?
