Did you feel any difference performance-wise? Did the stock one feel heavier once it was cut out compared to the aftermarket one?

The high flow ones do weigh less...probably a good 10 lbs or so. The top end felt a little peppier. I think the stock one was a little clogged to begin with though lol. The current car needs a high-flow one...the stocker seems to be clogged a little. Be ready to have the car a little raspier sounding though.

lol. yeah got it in today, it all ended up comming to just under 125 installed.

Man I swear that stock cat weighed 25 lbs. Also had them remove the resonator after that for straight pipe. That had to be another 10lbs. Wish I would have taken a scale.

Havent had a chance to really get on it from a stop but the engine feels more free. Definately raspy and better throttle response in a 20mph pull. When they started it up to get it off the lift I could hear people kinda go "whoa". sounded healthy. Loud for the light hearted. Lucky for me efficiency beats noise in my book.

Overall happy with the result. Recommend it to those who dont mind the engine noise.

Sounds interesting!
Who did you buy it from on ebay, and do they have more?
I've been wanting to remove my resonator and change out my cat to something lighter. I was hoping to find a SS cat, but i'll take what I can get.

I have run a couple CatCo ones. I thought they were fine...any of those smaller aftermarket units are better than the stock one. Now, between aftermarket ones, I have not seen much of a performance difference. I just go with what's cheapest since these die more quickly than the stocker.

so go cheap when it comes to a new cat? do you get better mpg? and is installation some thing a muffler shop will have to do?

As far as cat's are concerned, you can either go cheap, or pay $$$$$$$ for a proper OEM one.

Installation is a pain without a lift, tubing bender and stands. I have a MIG welder, but there is no way I am trying this on the garage floor!

Heres exactly like what I got on ebay. The item number is 130064747244
Put that in the search it will come up. Cant promise its the right size for your model though. Also this one doesnt have a heat shield so dont park in grass (FIRE!):D
