I did the stomp today and the code came back 1262 IDLE SPEED ACTUATOR.
Is this the same as idle speed control valve ??

so i read this thread and got curious, so i tried the stomp test on my car. first off, my car is running perfectly. it's actually never run better, but i got a fault code. 1241, which is 'Air Mass Sensor', then says

"Note 1) Code 41, 1241 and 2241 can be false Air Mass Flow Meter codes on 1992 and later models. The actual cause of the code is a faulty Idle Air Valve and the need for an updated EPROM. See all applicable service bulletines for
further information."

It's says 1992 and later cars .................
