relining the headliner?

has anyone done this? im looking for some tips seeing is how ive never done it and the stock brown(not only does it not match the black leather of the rest of the interior) is god aweful ugly. any tips, tricks of the sort? im thinking of a simple, cheap, black vinyl

Black headliner looks really good. I got black headliner in mine and it matches the rest of the interior perfectly. I'm not too sure if the 318's came with em so I'm assuming the previous owner had it done.

im pretty sure that its stock brown. im pretty sure the m3's are black. most manufacturors make the headliners grey or brown because it gives the illusion of space. looks like shit though.

My recommendation - a trim shop. They're cheap, fast, and do a better job.

i know of a good one here in nashville. they did my friends 96 supra with red and black leather and it look incredible. i just dont know how much they cost and its not like it mattere to him anyways, money is no object to some people..... i hate those people sometimes.

IIRC, there is a correct way and half arsed way to doing this. The correct way is a real pain in the arse and involves removing a lot of things. Forgot all the steps but if you search, it's documented somewhere...
