I am from the Bay Area. The last time i was in SoCal was when I was like 14, and I was in Anaheim. Until this spring break when i randomly decided to drive to the LA area to visit some friends (Santa Clarita Valley actually), I thought all of SoCal was a caca hole like Anaheim. Oops...teehee.

It is pretty cool down here. Santa Clarita is actually really cool. I could see possibly getting bored if i lived here for a while, but there is amazing terrain here for backpacking, plenty of entertainment if I want like 30 minutes away, and LOTS of good engineering jobs. All in all, i am definitely making another road trip down here. I will probably make plans next time though. I was talking to a freind about how i was gonna come down over the summer to check out Vasquez Rocks with her, and (this was yesterday) decided, why the hell not just drive down tomorrow. So, it was good times. Prior planning...not always necessary!

Yeah. I love CA. If I stay in the US, it is where I will want to be. I just don't know about living down there though. Too hot & dry. I like the climate/environment in the Bay Area. The coastal/semi-arid climate is my thing (not too heavily overgrown with redwood forest...just smatterings of Oak trees, rolling grassy hills, and coastal foliage).

I love so-cal. I'm from Thousand Oaks (between LA and Santa barbara) and I miss it dearly. Everything you could ever want is in So-cal ;)
