Happy Halloween everyone (who celebrates it in any fashion if at all). So, upon getting home from work today I set upon the annual task of carving up a pumpkin. I am no carving master by any means, but I still enjoy it simply because it is fun. When done, we placed ours out on the porch for the kiddies to enjoy (and hopefully not destroy). I played with my camera's night exposure a little and snapped some pics. They were all taken a good 3 hours after sunset, but the long exposure makes it seem almost like some eeerie daylight in the zoomed out pic. Anyway, enjoy! Mine is the goofy one all the way on the right.

The moon is out, shrouded in light fog...perfect for a brisk, quiet Halloween night!

So, who else has pics of their pumpkins to share?

Down south it seems the whole trick or treat thing is changing so not too many pumpkins. As a alternative proposal, starting next year, we have come up with this idea.

The night after Halloween you select a beir mug, wine glass, flute or cocktail glass and you take it with you door to door. The resident then fills your glass and not your bag. What do you think?

We have gotten a head start on next year and some of the props include this roundel, martini cooling funnel, ice sculpture. Beats candy!

That is by far the coolest booze-contraption I have ever seen. I thought the big ice-slab shooters were neat, but this takes the cake.

I'd be all for a trick-or-booze night, but I am trying to leave my sleeping-under-bushes days behind me. :p
