Took on some hail damage last month, (My Volvo took more damage than the BMW) We got it back from the shop last week and I love the way it turned out. My son took it on a car cruise yesterday and people loved it! Here are a few pics.

Nice clean ride. The angel eyes are extremely nice. What rims do you have?

They have some hail here (Texas) up to the size that breaks windshields. Paintless Dent Removal is a Godsend. I have full coverage on my 318is because of the possibility of hail damage. I also have an emergency kit here at the house that consists of a large sheet of bubble wrap and a carpet remnant that goes from the front of the hood to the rear of the decklid. Texas weather is entertaining at the least. The temperature can drop 20 degrees in twenty minutes and hail warnings come 30-60 minutes beforehand sometimes. Traffic stops from people parking under overpasses and drive thrus, car washes, and awnings are areas that revert to bumper car barbarism.
My 20 year old daughter wants me to get Angel Eyes. You need some "bling" Dad and an amp and some subs.

How about info on the angel eyes. Where, how much, are they plug right in or do you need a wiring conversion or kit?

I bought mine from Umnitza and paid 3bills for them. I had to hard wire them myself and it was a pain in the ass. I see the same ones on ebay for under 200.00 new. They also have the adapters included for plug and play. My lights are made by Depot and I heard people complain about them, but I never had a problem. The light they put out compared to sealed beams is amazing.

Found the thread. Your rims, are they concentric or need you have to use a ring?

BTW The rear clears look pretty sweet also.

Had to use a ring. They still sell these rims on Tire Rack I think?

How severe was the damage and what was involved in the repair?

The hood, trunk, mirrors, and wing had to be resprayed with PPG paint. I also had ventshades on and they got destroyed. I didn't put new ones on because it looks cleaner without them. The dents had to be popped out, (small ones) but it made marks on the paint, so they wet sanded it and painted. It worked out good since I had a Mtech II wing I bought that needed fresh paint.(was a little faded) They did a perfect job matching the paint. They also did the whole rear for me since it was faded also.

I remember thinking what a clean car when I saw that original pic. Looks good with those wheels.

Loose the Altezza-like tailights and the "BMW Motorsports" banner and you have a slick looking ride!

My son put the put the banner on for the car cruise, I don't care for it either but it did look good in the cruise. I don't like the M badge on the grill also but I do like the euro plate. As far as the tail lights go, we put clear turn signals on all four corners from Bavauto and the stock lights just didn't look right with the new signals. They don't look right in pictures, the flash makes them look ricey but they match the clear corners perfectly when you see them in person. I have the stock lens, and I want to refinish them over the winter but I'm not sure what way we should go with them. Right now I'm leaning towards smoke, but then I need to smoke the rest of the lights to match.
I never saw tails like this on an E30 before, and if you saw them in person you would see how clean it looks with all the clear signals. Every where we go, the car gets lot's of compliments and attention especially from other BMW owners.

I would like to have claears all around on my white car. I can't find the exact OEM rear style with the amber section clear. Anyone see them around?

My son took of the motorsport decal and the M badge from the grill, and put on the Umnitza vinyl we got with the headlights(He saw It on that wide body M3). I dont care for any vinyl but It looks pretty good.(He's 16!) I bought the m42 emblems for the sides. Here are some pics. (Be Gentle!)
