Interior space: cabrio vs. 4-door

So I've been thinking about picking up a 318i sedan as a daily driver. Twice a week I'm schlepping the kids around while my wife's at work and my cabrio is a tight squeeze in back. Besides the narrower rear seat is there any additional leg/knee room to be gained by getting a 4-door?

ive never sat in a cabrio but im 5'9" and im quite comfy in the back of my buddy's 318i
