I have fount that Duplicolor Cardinal Red is a very good match in the past, but I have only used it on the iS front lip.

Dave-when dealing with the different paint codes, always remember this* If it is a dark color-(to cover the epoxy or bondo after sanding)-1st spray the surface with a sandable primer, spray a second light coat of flat-black on top of the sandable primer. 2nd If it is a light color, then use only the sandable primer with the matching or close to matching paint. DIY painting can and will get veeery tricky, so when in the future you have another project that requires the picasso in you to be present, remember this info.

Forgot to mention the tricky part of matching both light and dark colors{after the primer has been sprayed and cured**spray several-LIGHT-coats of the color you are using about 6 to 8 inches away from the surface to be painted, because eventually the preferred color will appear.

Stock to stock I'm not real sure. The 318 certainly doesn't roll as much as the Milano but the Milano sure has a bit more get up and go than the 318. I hate to admit it on this board but I prefer to drive the Milano as a DD.

A friend of mine had a beat up Milano for a while, & I had the opportunity to drive it a few times. It was very smooth and VERY torquey, WAY more get up than my 318i. It was the fancy model though, which I think was a 3.0L V6 instead of the 2.5L. Weird valve train, if I remember correctly. Weird interior details too.

Ugh - I wasted so much time trying to get a match from duplicolor or some other generic off the shelf color that would work. All were a waste and I noticed that the coverage from a duplicolor spray can wasn't that great. In the end I went to Napa and had them mix up the proper 308 color code and put it in a spray can. I think it cost about $65 for 2 500ml cans. The coverave was way better, the paint looks proper and it's a high quality dupont paint.

i used the exact same color and it matched my car perfect lol i couldnt believe it , it just happened to be in the cabinets of the house i bought hahahah
