G'day, i decided a while ago i would supercharge my M42. I have a friend who has a spare Eaton M45 laying around that i can use. I have mechanical experience but not this kind of stuff.
To my understanding the M45 pushes 750cc of air per revolution, and shouldn't be revved past 14,000rpm. i was wondering how to calculate the crank pulley size i will need to get 6 psi. the standard M45 pulley is 66mm if im not mistaken. does anyone have a suggestion for what pulley to use on the crank. i was going to take the fan off, get an electric one, then maybe get someone to fab a pulley of the correct size to go where the fan was.
not sure if i am jumping in over my head and should just get an expert to do this or not... let me know what you guys think.
thanks
