I got mine from BMW. I was somewhat amazed that they had it in stock, given that anything E30 is usually special order.

At any rate, I have not noticed any leakage, and the part seemed to fit as well as the old one I took off.

oh poop!  i just bought this part from pelicanparts.com and i am going to install it.  Is the one from Pelican any good or is it crap?

So did you end up using the one from Pelican? The one they have currently is made by MTC and is $9.00.

just some added proof to this...

I ordered an OEM pipe for my first m42, ran flawlessly for 80K miles.

Then I got rid of that b/c of body rot/rust, and went about doing the mess under the intake on my new m42. Bought the URO part from BMA b/c it was cheaper; thing SUCKED, it leaked like a bastard. So I went to the yard my old car was at and bought my old pipe back, put it in and no problems.

I found that the URO part is also defective.  The casting is flawed...the part is bent slightly inwards.

Mine sealed up just fine; the flange just didn't seat tightly against the block.  I'll replace it eventually...but I had to get the car back on the road.
