Sooo around eh, 4-5 months ago I killed my battery.. Jump started it, no problem, but after the jump, the damn thing wouldn't idle.. I unplugged the ICV and it then idled nice, but a bit high (1200 cold, and around 900-1000 warm) but nice.. I replaced the ICV thinking I may have given a bad voltage/amperage jolt to an old electrical componet, with no avail.. With the new ICV the idle still sucks, so I unplugged it again so I can drive...
I checked the OBD code last week, and got a 1262, which is and idle control circuit open, or DME controller fault...
Just kinda wondering if anyone has experienced this before.. Should I attack the wiring or the ECM? My ECM is chipped with a cheap "Dinan" ebay chip, so I'm half wondering if that piece of crap didn't fry on me.. performance doens't seem to be affected with the ICV unplugged, but I'd really like to get rid of the CEL...
Any input will help,, I'll be in that area replacing PCV hoses, deleting the TB heater, and replacing the intake manifold/TB gaskets, so it'd be a good time to address the situtation... Thanks for the help in advance kiddos
