I personally wouldn't settle for anything less than 13" wide rears. But that's just me.

lol, I'm 100% confident that this will NOT be happening. however you can go 5 lug to avoid the use of wheel adapters....

but you should just go with these.... 14x15 (yes, thats right, they're wider then they are tall) with a -70 offset, and 4x100 spacing.

or these...  they're more bmw core. BBS with a conservative 15x13.5, also 4x100. currently for sale too.

Oh man!  I know overall diameter is different, but I tried fitting 18x9 d-force wheels with 275/35 toyo's on my car which has m3 style fiberglass wide body fenders on it.  They are about 2 to 3 inches wider than factory e30 fenders. They might have fit in the rear, but they hit the shock housing and were really close to the inner fender, but 12" wide!  Thats crazy.  If you do it I want to see how it was done.

I do not see anything bigger than a 17x9 with 245's fitting without some mild to serious modification.  This might even be too big for stock trim.

these wheels are from a porsche.  18x12 with 315's.  If you can fit a half barrel in your fender you can fit these!!
