I am pretty sure DOT law states that white lights are driving lights and yellow lights are fogs. Aren't the "fog" light actually white therefor making them driving lights? I think you can have driving lights and high-beams on at the same time per DOT laws.

I'm from New South Wales in Australia, and if we run Fog lights in anything but 'Adverse weather conditions' we get a $300 fine and loss of licence points i believe.

218–1   NSW rule: using lights on vehicles generally

(cf RRR, cl 55)

The driver of a vehicle must not:
(a)  use any fog light fitted to the vehicle unless the driver is driving in fog, mist or under other atmospheric conditions that restrict visibility,

Thank you for this write up OP. I'll be doing this tomorrow!

OT: These fog light laws make it seem like fog light = high beams. lol
