So after almost 15 years and almost 100K miles, I decided to swap out my static Billy/H&R combo for something adjustable. Went with Koni Sports and GC kit.

The old and new shock. I have AKG rear shock mounts the insert is still very good as it is only a few years old and not much mileage. I set the shot to a quarter turn before stiffest rebound to try it out.

New shock all together:

Old OE Sports vs GC adjuster and  Eibach spring. This is lowest setting to demonstrate but I have set it to something between HR race and sports

Springs and adjuster installed:

Found the passenger side engine mount head shield cracked and a little rusty. Ordered a new plate and bolt.

Purchased a new headlight button with a fresh stencil. I will keep the old one and remove all the old grime, remove stencil and apply a new one in the future.

Good progress! It is always nice to see the little details getting refreshed...some of that stuff is getting hard to find, and certainly not any cheaper as time goes on.

Very true, if you bought sought after parts 2 years ago, you will make $ and if they are now NLA, you double. Not saying to invest in car parts but part of me wants to, lol

I found out I was missing a small trim piece in the trunk. BMW still has it and very cheap. The car jack hinge has a cover on the right side.

Awesome find! Was this the product of a late-night adventure through the corners of RealOEM?

LOL. It was a few years ago but was NLA. I checked a few weeks back and was available and very cheap.

Small update. The water tight connectors for the brake fluid level sensor were brittle and the plastic jackets were all gone. Every time I washed my engine bay, the light in the cluster would go on until it dried. I got a new housing and spliced in new BMW watertight terminals. My original housing was cracked so I bought a new one. Even thought the PN is new, it is now longer, and my assumption is that you do not need the grommet at the end. I reused the grommet because mine was intact.

Old vs New

New WT connectors in new housing

Installed:

Here I replace the housing on the windshield washer pump. The clips had broken off over time being the original connector. New on top of old.
