Simple question: Can someone give me some pics with smileys, angel eyes, and some standard ellipsoids? I'm looking at buying angel eyes because i like the look, but i'm not sure if i've ever seen the others in action. Any help?

beautiful top example. that blue really sets it off. the other cars look amazing as well. however, i'm assuming theres something different about the look of the smileys when lit. is there?

smilies when lit up don't look all that different, although the smiley cut out throws more light on the road right in front of the car...

the angel eyes... I personally don't really dig the look, the fixtures themselves aren't the greatest quality... but then again, I'm a fuddy duddy.

Best bang for buck = US ellips with 9011/9012 HIR lamps

Indeed...they are even better paired with a nice set of HID's, with nice ballasts and proper enclosures!!

I question it's validity though, as it clearly states "Warning: This head lamp...It may not lawfully be sold for use as a head-lamp on any motor vehicle..." Am I the only one that's concerned?

That ellipsoids + HID's are the best.  That's my opinion.

Ok. Thanks for the info guys. I'm about 99.9% sure I'm getting Hella ECodes. My stepdad has used them in the past and highly recommended them. I'm gonna look around the forums to see if I need to do anything for the bulbs. (Do I?)

Why? You can score a set of U.S. ellips for $100 shipped and then eventually go HID...

The light output is WAY better!!

I'm finding that the term 'ellipsoid' is one of those terms that is used very....loosely.... I've seen ellipsoid angel eyes, ellipsoid smileys, ellipsoid hellas, ellipsoid fog lights....
