My Lazur Blue 318iS...
« on: September 20, 2007, 06:37:34 AM »
I just recently joined up to this M42 forum, over here in the UK we mainly use e30zone.net which is highly informative. Just thought I'd share a few pictures of my iS with you guys.

She's only had two very careful previous owners, the last being a distant family friend. Performance wise the car is standard, but I may play with it a bit in the future. I have a few bits to keep me busy: chain tensioner, ICV and front pads.

Don't worry guys I will be spraying the brake cooling ducts blue again, the previous owner had those done silver .

Future plans are really only to get the car lowered 60/40 on H&R springs and Bilstein shocks. Also may go for an engine rebuild in a few years. Any suggestions/criticisms welcome!

Your car would look amazing with coilovers and some
10mm spacers, that car is almost perfect the way it is.

After you do that, go to the track and have some fun!

The car looks like it is at stock ride height. A lot of people don't like Alpinas, but they sure do look good on that car.

A local guy here in town has a Lazurblau 1990 325i that I've seen up close in person.  It's a gorgeous color -- looks even better with those Alpinas!

Awesome car.

I kinda like the silver brake ducts. I just painted mine black, mostly because I had to replace the foglight blanks and didn't want to mess with Laguna Green. I've noticed a few others on the board have done the same. Alongside actual foglights though I think the silver looks good. Tasteful, not garish.

Lazer Blue is the best colour for an E30 I think.

My iS and iS Touring are both Lazer and I waited ages for them to come up.

Are the Alps original?

Thanks for the comments guys, the transit vans are overly common down here in London! I have replaced the alpinas with 15" BBS's since, and I will be fitting a 60/40 H&R cup kit in the coming weeks. Will definetely get some pics up.

Royal, I believe you are also a member of E30zone if memory serves me right. The alpinas are replicas, I would much rather prefer the 16" wider originals, and if I find a set I will most definetely buy them. Didn't lazur blau only come in the iS? Your touring must be royal blue or mauritius blue, they look very similar to lazur...
