« on: April 15, 2006, 06:15:49 PM »
I finally gave in a decided to see what the hamsters in the engine bay were putting to the ground..I'd now like a stock dyno sheet for comparison.

I have a Mark D chip as my only mod along with a swiss cheese airbox and a magnaflow muffler (negligble IMO)

I only got 3 pulls sans Air Fuel and I think I gained about 10 hp and 10 lb/ft trq @ the wheels.

I'll post pics when my blood alcohol level is legal and I find my car

From BP's site:

stock:

with mad irish modz:

There was another stock one up at mwerks, for their project 318is car... but for some reason they took it down, or I can't get their search feature to work (hmmmm, that might be it). I will try to get it

I had the car run till redline @ 7250rpm (That's the limit of the chip I have)

I didn't expect power past 6500...perhaps next time around I'll advance the intake cam to see if this makes any difference with the power curves.

My motor is tired @ supposedly 178k mi (burns oil) and I still drive it hard. I am somewhat surprised at the performance. I don't know if I'll ever rebuild it though, I'll just drive it to the ground (if it will get there)

Yeah the graph is hp/tq at the wheels.

I am curious to see what your MAP car with the SMT-6 is gonna put out as well. Not forgetting the MAF kit that is in the works as well

I am as well,
I thinking up a way to build a "CAI" setup that uses a paper filter og a generous size,
I have spent about $500 on the WB kit and SMT unit, altough it was still lying around it was still money, I hope to get as close to 150flwhp as possible.
I just don´t know how well these engines respond to mods.

The mwerks.com project car (bryan was gracious enough to provide this) made about 104

I'm anxious to see what mine will do after I do the MAF swap.  I have the MarkD chip and Delta cams.

I just realized that most chipped M20's have ~140-150whp

We arent that far behind!  (except for the whole torque issue )
