Hi guys,

nice to have a M42 only forum

I�m running a M42 powered 318i �88,
I got the engine from a Red 318is that was hit in the back,

I swapped engine, trans, driveshaft and rear end in completely,

Car was hand painted before, but serves as a daily driver now, and
will always, I plan on painting it myself in a form of dark green (E30 original)

I�m runnnig a M20 flywheel, M20B20 clutch and pressure plate,
I had to mod the starter and use 1.5mm shims to put the starter a little more in front of the trans to not get the gear to stick, other then that it was all direct bolt on,
flywheel was lightened to 5.5kg or so, I used the pic Jordan made up in CAD.

I have raced 2 E30 325i�s at stoplights and was even all first 3gears.
I do have a SMT unit lying around, also a M30 afm , maybe putting the things together, who knows, maybe a MAP,

I do have a Zeitronix Wideband I have yet to install to check the AFR,
And this car doesn�t have a O2 bung in the exhaust from factory.

I�m putting it on some "16�s soon, not wide or anything, it�s just my "15 BBS one wheel got a flat tire and I dont�have any more "15 tires

Anyway I guess thats enough from me,

It�s got a Mtech I front now but poorly done by a PO so I�ll change it to facelift again

Thanks, I like individual based forums as it�s keeps more technical and less nonsense,.

I really don�t have any q�s for him, as I plan on running this as a daily
altought, I�d love to do this to it,

SMT6 install tonight,
ign control, fuel control,
Wideband as soon as I can,
Also MAP swap as soon as possible as well
