When I bought my car it had a HUGE oil leak about two pancakes and a 50cent peice in size. I knew this had to be fixed. Some one said that the oil filter adapter leaks so I went track the problem.

My dad and I thought it was comming from the adapter but we weren't very sure. We took off the alternator and the mount (that pic was after whe took off everything) and pulled off the alternator bracket make sure that you pull the bolt off in between the bushings Shown below.

Once we had everything off we could see a trail of clean metal where we thought the oil was running.

We replaced the gaskets from the oil filter housing and sandblasted it.

We reassembled the whole thing and it worked. It only leaked about a drop(probly from the oil that stayed on the engine) but now it doesnt leak a drop of oil anywhere! We fixed it my dad couldn't believe his eyes. We replaced #'s 8,9,12

If you don't know, Realoem.com is the parts manual for all BMW's old and new. Its a great reference online.
I also got an apperance upgrade. I asked my dad for a euro plate, he flies too Europe all the time, So he asked the Peugeot in Crawley UK for a plate. No Freebies, but a personlized plate in two minuets for 11.25£ ($22.50) He didn't know what to put on the plate but rembered my user name. So now I've got a euro plate.

Thats about all for now, Enjoy!
