its only when you walk around you notice how much there is to hit, the drops either side of the road are more worrying but fortunately the speed isn't too high

Hi,
Im interesting what have you done to engine (if its not a secret)?
I want to rebuild engine and change from 1.8 to 2.1
with e36 3.0 engine pistons
m47 or m47n cranckshaft
....

m47 crank (with the nose from the m42 crank fitted), 86mm pistons, 1 off cams, solid lifters and m3 throttle bodies

M42b18 81 mm 8 counterweights
M44b19 83.5 mm 7 counterweights and timing wheel
M47d20 88 mm 8 counterweights
M47tud20 89.6 mm 3 counterweights and timing wheel
M47tu2d20 89.6 mm 7 counterweights and timing wheel
M44 hartge 91 mm 8 counterweights
M44 hartge 100 mm 4 counterweights
Note:- all m47tu's need the nose extending!
Note:- 100mm hartge crankshaft requires block extending!

unfortunately i had a bit of a crash with the car. the forecast was for light showers but the rain came quite heavy and caught me out. most of the damage is panels and a bottom arm so shouldn't be much work to fix. biggest problem is when hitting the bank the air filter was ripped off and the engine sucked up loads of ground and is now down on compression so its off for a clean out, rings and a hone. shame as i stopped raining not long after and the car had been running really well

Oh mate that's just bad luck, the engine sounded strong throughout.
