I dunno if this has anything to do with the subject, but our cars are not equipped with knock sensors correct? So running a chip that requires higher octane fuel i.e. 93 may cause the engine to ping or cause detonation? not good from what I've heard, no personal experience though.

pinking is bad, basicly detination on the piston head and you can burn holes in your pistons, or scar them.

Ya, friend of mine lost about 200hp from not tuning his car, ofcourse now he sits at 450, but that's ok... Don't let it ping, he did and he payed, just be careful, I doubt it would be that bad since his is a built motor for racing but still, it can leave really bad affects on the motor like kowalski said.

The JC chip (at least the one I've got) is set up for 91 octane.  Of course, all that's available here in PA is either 89 or 93, so 93 it is.
