« on: June 03, 2014, 02:22:23 PM »
could somebody be nice enough to point me to that post where warsteiner gave the weight of each engine components from M42 stock to M42 upgraded with s50 light weight components please?

Couldn't find that exact thread, but I found a useful post or two by searching for "M3 rods" for posts by Warsteiner:

I did the 33mm S50/52 M3 cam trays about 8 years ago because no one had actually done it back then.  If you're building a serious motor or not, and you have the funds, then go for it and do the conversion and save a bunch of weight on the top end. You also have the option of doing shim under bucket with solid lifters by using the M3 stuff.

Enjoy everyone....

Cheers,

This is very interesting topic, being that I rebuilt my head last year, I used all lightweight titanium internals were applicable, switched to smaller diameter valves (7mm to 6mm),  all in an effort to reduce weight. I'm now wondering how comparable my numbers would be to these, Ill have to go do some digging.
