pretty happy with it. came with a nice little insert that replaces the stock FPR and plenty of vacuum hose so you can install it wherever you need to.

I have an external adjustable fpr and a modified fuel rail, it works great and wasnt too hard to do. I would not use the one from IE because it looks like a generic chinese made pos and the adapter does will not work with our fuel rail, go with an Aeromotive fpr, they make a nice universal one that would work just fine http://www.summitracing.com/parts/AEI-13301/ If i get a chance, Ill take some pictures of my setup

look in the fourth picture and you can see the gauge by the manifold and the fpr by the afm http://m42club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=7590

Its just a 3/8npt to 1/8npt fitting that you put in one of the ports then screw in a gauge, but I wanted to put mine on the rail.

Your CAI is top notch. I've never seen one that well made.

i got the stock injectors out and the fpr out. how do you adapt the afpr to the rail? the stock unit presses in and had a Vband style clamp on it.

Thanks, now for the mods and install:

Remove the stock fpr then weld a plate onto the flange where it once attached, on mine I welded an 1/8"npt bung into it to mount the gauge off of. once the fuel rail is finished, run the supply hose to the rail then the return hose from the rail should go to the external fpr, then the outlet of the fpr goes back to the tank.

I can take more detailed pictures and a better write-up if needed when I have more time on my hands

thanks. its gonna be a few weeks till i get all the parts ordered in and can make it to a scrap yard to pull some injectors.

could i weld a fitting onto the rail its self to tap my gauge into. i think it would be a more accurate reading at the rail its self than it the fpr.

so let me see if i got this right. weld a plate with a nipple or bung to the plate where there stock fpr was. fuel feed from the hard lines to the nipple on the plate. return line from the hardline on rail to the fpr. then the outlet on the fpr goes back to the hardline to the tank?

not quite, you still use the factory inlet and outlet on the rail, the plate and bung where the stock fpr was is for the gauge

i got it now. afpr goes inline between the in/out nipples on the rail and in/out lines comming from the tank. i thought i was over complicating something there.
