kryptokatalyst - M42 Intro w/pics
« on: October 15, 2009, 12:18:00 AM »
Recently purchased a 1991 318is as a daily driver so I can keep my precious M3 in the safety of my garage.  I first learned of the 318is while I was living in Germany the last 3 years and now that I am back in the states I am very happy to have found a very solid, rust free E30 318is with LSD.

I found the car in Phoenix, AZ and had it transported to me in Tulsa, OK.  It was pretty battered by the AZ sun, but nothing some TLC and a lot of elbow grease couldn't fix.  Delivered last Friday, and spent pretty much all day Saturday and Sunday polishing the faded paint and getting it cleaned up.

Looking forward getting to know some of you and sharing information about this awesome BMW.

If I had known it could have looked that good, I would've kept it! :)  It certainly went to a good home. Looking forward to all the updates on it.

Thanks for the welcome.  It's great that there is a forum specifically for the m42, it's already been a good resource and it nice to read others experiences with the car.

Checked it out, good thread.  I took a look under my intake it's really clean, but still a mess of hoses.
