i recently bought another stock e 30 power rack to replace my leaking one. I was curious to know what you guys thought should also be replaced. I am already going to do boots, tie rods/ and ends. Do you think there are other things that should be replaced, such as control arm bushings, even wheel bearings? Any help would be appreciated.

Put a e36 rack in. 2.7 to 3.2 turns, lock to lock, depending on which model you use.

do all e30's have the same rack, or do the later model e30's have a different one?

I know the E30M3 rack is different. Try realoem.com and check various models and years if you want to verify for yourself.

All e30s have the same rack except the M3. Just get a standard e36 rack. All e36 racks are the same, at 3.2 turns, except for the '95 M3 which had 3 turns. Z3 racks are 2.7 turns, but also don't have the same range of travel as other e36 racks.

Why, I don't know, but E30's with SRS (airbag) MAY use a different part.

The swap to an SRS car is actually easier than to a non SRS car. Either way, it works.
