whats wrong with my car?

My car keeps dying on me.  it seems to idle fine when i first start it up, then i drive 2 blocks, and come to a stop and the fucking thing dies unless i masage the throttle to keep it going.  

any ideas or suggestions are much appreciated.

+1  Those hoses are probably all cracked and leaky.  I'd also test fuel pump output and any sensor related to temperature, like the coolant temp sensor.  If that's bad it'll lean out the injectors and stall the car.

Does it only happen when the car is warmed up?  Could also be the O2 sensor...the car is in open loop until it warms up that sensor, then it goes into closed loop and the O2 sensor has a lot more to say about how much fuel you're getting.  Just unplug the O2 sensor and see if the problem goes away.  Your mileage might go to hell, but you'll know where the problem is...

I think you can use the cheap Ford Mustang heated O2 sensor if you don't mind cutting & splicing.  They're less than $20 IIRC.

thanks for the reply.  It does seem to only happen when the car is warmed up a bit.  I have only had the car a couple of days, so most of this is new to me.  im gonna try the O2 sensor.  hopefully that is the prob.  Thanks again.
