Can this cause drivability issues by screwing with one of the sensors?

As far as I know, those sensors are only sensitive to temperature, not pressure (specifically speaking about the DME temp sensor and the gauge sensor here).  That being said, water is a better conductor than air, and if for any reason that sensor had an air bubble stuck next to it, it would be sending erroneous temp info to the DME.  Which could cause drivability issues.
