I've had a Bosal muffler on the car for a year now, since the old Ebarspacher (spelling?) one was toast. The car has a terrible rasp somewhere around 2800 rpm and is way too loud on the highway.
Has anyone managed to quiet down a Bosal muffler? I read some posts where people have had the same annoying buzz.
Also, the cat looks like its the original one. The heat shield was loose, I had it tacked back on. Could the rasp be from the cat? It seems to be doing its job right in the emissions department, so I don't really want to replace it given the cost of doing so.
I have a Hyundai Accent courtesy car while my car is at the body shop getting a dent fixed and I find myself actually enjoying the quiet...
Please help me love my car again.
