Inspecting Ignition Wires ??

how would i know if my ignition wires are bad. by looking at it :confused:

Use an ohm meter to check resistance. Should be around 6-7 ohms. and look for cracks in the wire jackets and boots.

You can also run the car and pull each plug one by one and notice how the engine reacts, if they are "good" it should struggle then recover, if completely dead there will be no change. That of course just lets you know you have a dead wire and doesn't really represent the "health" of the wires.

Easiest way is like was mentioned, just look for cracks to start off....

I had a small hole in one of mine where the spark plug makes contact with the boot and it was arcing against the valve cover....
