my m42 was running fine. I took off my head to paint it, i had it off for a few days. I went to put it back on and connected back the spark wires like this: from left to right-4,3,1,2 thats how i remember pulling them out. I had already changed my spark plugs from before. my oil level is fine but do you think i need to put some in to lube the motor. im not sure what the problem could be. Ive tried changing the wires around but that didnt help.

OEM wires are coded for a specific cylinder. Look at the writing on the wire. Cylinders are 1 2 3 4 from the front. If you didn't remove the wires from the coils, you should be good.

im not sure if there are oem but im guessing not because they dont have codes written on them. they say bosch 7mm ultra platinum. is it the same for each m42 motor. if so could you see which wire goes to wich spark for me and let me try it that way.
