Anyone running ROTA RBs on their 318is? They're Panasport/Minilite knockoffs. I'm looking at some 15" x 8". et 25 wheels at what seems to be a good price, $480 for a set of 4. I thinking about using them on my '91 Schwarz Cabrio. Anyone have experience with a 15x8? Any clearance problems? If you have a pic, I'd sure love to see it.

I have no experience with these wheels in question but i would advise against buying rotas. There have been hundreds of report on the net of the wheels buckeling,the rims bending easily and the spokes breaking off the central hub through torque.
The money you spend now on getting the proper panasport wil save you money and heartache in the long run...possibly even your life, you never know when they will fail!

15x8 should fit without any problems ... sure it depends on the et? but with et25 i think it works.. i have some 15x7,5 et 25 i think on my summerwheels... but i am not sure.. i cant keep all the numbers in my head.. ;-)

These have been popular with the 2002 crowd for the last year and a half or so. You should be able to do a search on this forum to see how people like them. I think there may still be some group buys developing here as well.

Yeah, I saw the Rotas on the '02FAQ originally. I've Googled the safety question and it seems there is only reference to one bad run. Since they are OEM suppliers to Toyota and Suburu and others, it seems like there'd be a lot more if safety was a concern. I've always loved the Panasports, but could never justify the $$$. These look worth it.
