I have a 1991 318is want to get black rims with polished lip. on my car now is stock bbs rims with 195 65 r14's if i go with a 17" rim what should the tire be on it? should it be 17x7? what about off set and stuff to get a 17" to fit? this is the wheels i was thinking about http://www.sportmaxwheel.com/sportmax_006.shtml#

Somewhere I have seen a tire size calulator.  I seem to recall it was on the Miata site (google it) and I think Tire Rack has one now.

yes they will fit but u will have to use spacers, for example i wanted to get 17x7.5(et40) and 17x9(et35) the lug pattern is 4x100 but i dont know about the center. theres a thread about sportmax wheels on bf.com i think one guy has a vert with 006 check it out
