Drive- train havoc.
« on: September 05, 2007, 03:29:49 PM »
Right now, it's a cold engine that won't cause no sound or damage.
The trouble occurs when there is a water temperature indicator thats says you're at the normal engine temperature.
Especially in first and second gear, there's a wrong feeling that the center support bearing is destroyed.
There is a huge vibration in the middle of the car and it seems that there's something hanging and turning around making some noises when the clutch pedal is released.

Is this a drive- line failure situation?
Do I have to change the entire drive- train?

Sounds like a posstble flywheel/clutch/throwout bearing problem. The center support bearing and guibo may also be culprits.

You can check the guibo, center support and u-joints visually and by shaking them. The throwout bearing can be checked by having the car in neutral and depressing the clutch pedal.
No one would ever put in a throwout bearing without putting in a new clutch pack except me.
