I recently debadged my 318is and now the residue is stuck on there. Does anyone have a safe way of taking the remainder off? I understand that goo-gone would work, however isn't that bad for the paint? any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

a claybar should do it if you don't want to use chemicals

I used "goo-gone" to soak it first. You could even use WD-40. Then dab off with a clean cloth. I would prob not use the clay bar until all residue was reoved. Might scratch the paint.

goo-gone, or rubbing alchohol, i spent seriously 2 hours debadging the just one emblem on my subaru......but in the end it looked way awsome!

also, go over it with some polish after followed by wax.....DO NOT clay bar untill EVERYTHING is off! it burn into the paint.

You can even use the "white gas" used on the camping stove it will evaporate fast but it will defuse the sticky substance for easier removal.
