Car shuts down in stop and go traffic...
« on: August 22, 2007, 09:30:33 PM »
I'll be in traffic, usually putting around in 2nd gear, i'll be easy on the accelerator from low RPM and the car will suddenly lose power (like losing fuel pressure and stall out). If I try to restart the car, it catches a little but never fully fires up. If I let it sit 2-3min without restarting, then attempt to restart, it'll fire back up like nothing happened.

Also I noticed lately that the tach doesnt move right when I first start the car like it normally does. A few quick revs and the needles move as they are supposed to...

This instance happened to me twice today. Both in stop and go traffic and in 2nd or 1st gear.

I'm thinking once again, fuel pump related, fuel pressure regulator, or speed/ref sensors.

What do you guys think?
