Clock/OBC not working.
« on: June 29, 2007, 01:37:23 AM »
Hello.
The clock on the OBC displays, but none of the buttons function. If I press hard  on any of them, after a few seconds the display will flicker to what should be on the display, but just goes back to the clock after I release. Is there a way to fix this, or do I have to replace it?

Check the wires, see if the plugs are inserted as they should. (in the instrument cluster and OBC) Has it done this forever or just now?

I'd suggest taking the whole thing out and cleaning off the switch contacts. I have heard that there are some nuts that come loose and cause the screen to flicker and the buttons to function intermittently. If you're in there, you might want to replace the light bar, which can burn out and is a bit of a hassle.

it's been like that since I've had the car, which was this March. The previous owner said he tried to fix it and thats when it started to flicker.
