Not sure where in new england you are located, but the bmwcca has tons of events throughout new england this spring and summer. The boston chapter offers the most events. They offer a few car control schools with a wet skidpad and have many autocrosses. They also have track days at NHIS (now NHMS) , lime rock, and watkins glen. The october watkins glen event is run during the bmwcca national ofest event. This is a huge deal and will atract thousands of people. There is also a track event at the mont tremblant track in quebec. There will be a few bmwcca races at these tracks which you could also check out. The bmwcca offers events all over the country which you could also check out. Their events are top notch and I would definately reccomend them.
