M42 Engine Rebuild
« on: February 05, 2007, 01:23:03 PM »
Hey all. I'm rebuilding a M42 from my 318is. The head gasket blew when the engine over heated. The machine shop had to remove .007inch from the bottom to get it straight and I have to put in new pistons .50mm over cause the old ones have had it. What will that do to my compression? It was 10.01 stock right? So is it fair to say it will go up to around 10.45?

Thanks.
