New Member in DC - Purchasing 318i Convertible

Hi guys,

Wanted to post on here and introduce myself. Tomorrow, I am picking up a 1991 e30 318i convertible as a project. My eventual goal will be to make this a weekend driver. The car has around 185k(odo broken, will fix that first), interior is in decent shape, exterior needs some loving, engine and transmission are great and it drives rather well. I have experience with old Audis and had an e39 m5 for a while until last year, but this is my first foray into the older, classic BMWs. Over the next 6 months, I'll be slowly bringing the car back up to spec. I've been reading up on the m42 and heard great things about it - from my 5 minute drive of the car, it felt fun and light and happy to rev. Anyway, I'm in DC and will be asking questions. Excited to join!
